Problems sending email (71298) - UPDATE

18/05/2012 @ 16:01

This is an update to Wednesday's post regarding customers who are having difficulty sending email to certain addresses using our outbound mail servers. This includes (but is not limited to) some academic, government and NHS email addresses.

Our network operations team are still actively going through the mail logs to identify spammers and stop them sending out unsolicited mail. We're continuing to liase with MAPS, however they are continuing to block some of our relay servers at this moment.

Reports suggest that some email is getting through but some customers are still experiencing difficulty. If you are still having trouble sending email to affected addresses then you may wish to use an alternate relay server in the meantime.

We are continuing to pursue updates for this and have asked if they can de-list any of the servers while we continue to remove any spammers. We will update this service status again on Monday unless we receive any other information in the interim.

Please accept our apologies for the continued inconvenience.

Kind Regards,

Joanne Pilson
